Advanced Institute of Management Research (AIM)

CMI - Working in Partnership with AIM

Visit the aim websiteFollowing many years working productively together on a range of research and other projects, CMI and the Advanced Institute of Management (AIM) have formalized their collaborative relationship by signing a Memorandum of Understanding.  This means more joint events, information sharing and research.

As part of the partnership AIM reports will be available for members to download from our portal at http://www.managers.org.uk/mgtdirect.

In return AIM will promote CMI research reports on its website.

With a network of over 250 Fellows from the most prestigious universities in the UK and abroad, the Advanced Institute of Management Research (AIM) is the UK’s largest investment into improving the standard of management in British businesses, organisations and institutions.

It is a unique collaboration, funded by the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) and the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC), which brings together the expertise of academics from fields relating to all areas of management research. Central to our goal is the engagement of academics with managers to collaboratively raise the competitiveness of British businesses.

AIM’s core objectives are:

  1. To conduct research that will identify actions to enhance the UK's international competitiveness
  2. To raise the scientific quality and international standing of UK research on management
  3. To expand the size and capacity of the active research base for UK research on management
  4. To develop the engagement of that capacity with world-class research outside the UK and with practitioners as co-producers of knowledge about management and other users of research within the UK

As a publicly-funded, non-profit institution we offer free access to all of our research publications, whether working papers, academic white papers or executive briefings written expressly for managers. We are also proud to be able to offer a number of free workshops for managers throughout the year, up-to-date information for which can be found on our website.

Managers wanting regular updates about our reports, events and activities can join our mailing list to receive their copy of our quarterly newsletter.
