CMI CEO Ann Francke was a speaker on 6th September at the 2016 annual BAM (British Academy of Management) conference at Newcastle University, entitled “Thriving in Turbulent Times” where she was also awarded Companionship.
The Opening Plenary involved a panel discussion where Ann outlined how Universities play a critical role in developing the skills of current and future managers post-Brexit, including collaborating with employers to deliver the new Chartered Manager Degree Apprenticeship.
Ann also highlighted CMI’s new joint research with BAM, on diversity in management in the FTSE100, working with a cross-institutional team led by Prof. Nic Beech of St Andrews, BAM Vice-Chair.
