Board and Committee Vacancies

Election to the Board of Trustees

The nomination period for members to put themselves forward for a number of vacancies on our Board and Committees is still open.  2015 is an important year for growth within our longer term strategies, building on our partnership work with employers, business schools and professional bodies.

There will be two elected vacancies on the Board of Trustees.  The closing date for Board nominations is Wednesday 20 May 2015, with the contested election taking place during August and September.  The successful candidates will serve a three year term on the Board and will also be appointed, during that time period, to chair one of our Board Committees.

The first stage in the process is for members to express an interest in standing and provide a copy of their CV.  There will then be follow up contact to consider the experience and expertise that candidates would bring to the Board.

This year as part CMI’s desire to increase diversity on its Board and Committees and fully represent its membership, we would particularly welcome female applicants and applications from members of BAME groups.  All applicants will be considered on merit.

Appointments to Committees

We are also seeking expressions of interest from CMI members across all grades to sit on a number of the standing committees of the Board of Trustees.

Members are invited to contribute specialist expertise and knowledge, both from a wider business and Institute membership perspective. We have vacancies on the following Committees:

  • Finance and Audit
  • External Affairs and Insight
  • Nominations
  • Regulation Compliance (Awarding Body)
  • Women in Management

The advisory committees meet quarterly and input directly to the Board; Members serve a two year term, with the possibility for two further terms to a maximum of six years, and the Committees meet quarterly and feed directly into the Board.

Nominations close on 19 June 2015.  Candidate interviews are then held, followed by the offer of places on a particular Committee, for appointment in October 2015.
