Annual report and AGM

The most recent Annual General Meeting of the CMI took place on Thursday 20 October 2011 at the Landmark Hotel, London, to coincide with the National Conference.  

At the meeting the members present unanimously passed the Resolutions to adopt the annual report and accounts and to reappoint BDO LLP as Auditors to the Institute.

This year there was a Special Resolution on the agenda, to amend the Bye-laws in relation to the membership grades.  The Resolution, unanimously passed at the AGM on a show of hands and which gained significant support from members voting in advance of the meeting by proxy, now shows the membership grades as follows:

 

            Companion - CCMI

            Chartered Companion - CCMI CMgr (or CCMI Chartered Manager)

            Chartered Fellow - FCMI CMgr (or FCMI Chartered Manager) 

            Fellow – FCMI 

            Chartered Member - MCMI CMgr (or MCMI Chartered Manager) 

            Member – MCMI

 

These Bye-law changes were subject to Privy Council approval.  this approval was granted by Privy Council Order dated 30 November 2011.  This will now lead to implementation of a major project to review and relaunch Chartered Manager, with further member communications and engagement along the way.
