The Appeal of Institute Membership
Membership of the Chartered Management Institute appealed to John both as a means of attaining formal recognition for the knowledge, skills and experience he has acquired over a number of years as a manager and maintaining this development using the services the Institute has to offer: "Membership of the Chartered Management Institute initially appealed to me because of the range and depth of resources, research, experience and best practice guidance available to members through the accessible and intuitive website."
Ongoing Benefits
John takes advantage of the many services offered by the Institute, using the web resources and Professional Manager magazine both in his role as Head of Business Improvement and Freelance Consultant to "demystify some of the intricacies of management theory and practice."
Furthermore he likes to attend some of the Branch events offered by the Institute: "The wide range of events that the Institute coordinate, from national to regional and local are excellent value and a great opportunity to hear, see, debate and discuss the issues of the day."
John values the support of the Institute as he continues to build his career: "I have no doubt that membership of the Institute will assist me in my future career - whatever direction that takes - as it demonstrates my commitment to being a forward thinking professional in the current challenging and ever changing business environment."
