The Institute appreciates the excellence provided by those volunteer members who are involved through their Local Management Teams in providing events and networking for our members. So this years East Midlands Regional Convention which is FREE to all members, is particularly aimed at all the active volunteers, management teams, and members who wish to become more engaged with the Institute. Indeed a key element of the day will be to recognise and reward success amongst both the volunteer network and also present the Regional Chartered Manager of the Year Award to this years deserving winner.

We will be providing an update on the progress being made as the new strategies announced last October are being put into place. Delegates will have the opportunity to hear about, and indeed give their feedback on the key products and services for members which have been introduced as part of the Institutes' aims of providing further benefits for membership.

During the day there will be two practical participative workshops examining two key challenges for branches, namely: "Attracting New Team Members" and "Increasing Attendance at Events". There will be plenty of opportunities throughout the day for networking with branch members from across the Region and senior staff from Head Office allowing attendees to participate, and to share ideas and best practice. Refreshments and a buffet lunch will be provided.

We are always looking for enthusiastic members in the East Midlands region who wish to further their own personal development whilst helping the Institute to achieve its strategic aims.  In addition, other members further their professional development by engaging their employers with the Institute or volunteering their efforts to enable their colleagues to become professionally recognised for their management excellence.  The day is for all these members and is a great opportunity to find out more about how Chartered Management Institute membership can benefit them now and into the future.
