Venue
Welford Road is home to the infamous Leicester Tigers RFC. As well as being the Premiership Champions 2009, Leicester Tigers are also one of the oldest rugby clubs in England.
The CMI East Midlands Conference will be taking place in the Legends Suite which is part of the new iconic Caterpillar Stand.
The £14.5 million Caterpillar stand boasts the largest seated capacity in the East Midlands. The 1300sq metre 1st floor space is matched with a 850sq metre ground floor Exhibition hall.
The stand itself is the second largest stand in the UK, welcoming over 10,700 guests for our matchdays.
The development of the Caterpillar stand marks the first phase of the £60m project to rebuilt the whole stadium in 4 phases, culminating in a near 30,000 capacity stand ready for the World Cup in 2015. Further projects include a 100+ room hotel and a 800 multistorey car park.
