Qualification information

The CMI Level 4 Qualifications in Internal Quality Assurance were developed by Lifelong Learning UK and replaced the V1 qualification.

CMI offer a suite of Internal Quality Assurance qualifications to encourage progression.

Level 4 Award in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice

  • Understanding the principles and practices of internally assuring the quality of assessment
  • Internally assure the quality of assessment

Level 4 Certificate in Leading the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice

 
  • Understanding the principles and practices of internally assuring the quality of assessment
  • Internally assure the quality of assessment
  • Plan, allocate and monitor work in own area of responsibility

Assessment

Assessment is normally via a portfolio of evidence, assessed by your Approved Centre. This ensures you minimise time away from work and that you undertake work study which is relevant to your own organisation’s context.

Progression

On successful completion of a CMI Level 4 Qualification in Internal Quality Assurance, a number of progression opportunities become available: 

  • Enhance your professional status by upgrading your CMI membership
  • Progress to other qualifications at the same level (e.g. from Level 4  Award to Level 4 Certificate)
  • Apply to become a Chartered Manager
