An intriguing private tour of the American Museum
In keeping with our usual practice of arranging an external summer visit, this year we have been able to secure for our members and guests, an exclusive tour of the American Museum.
The visit has been arranged for the evening of Thursday 17 July 2014,and will commence at 7.00 pm with a tour of the Kaffe Fassett Exhibition, followed at 7:30 by a 45 minute guided tour of the American Heritage Exhibition and Period Rooms.
At 8:15 we will assemble in the Folk Art Gallery to meet the Director of the Museum, Dr. Richard Wendorf, prior to retiring to the café area where the Dr. Wendorf will entertain us with a detailed and involved talk on the history of the Museum and how they are planning to develop and promote the American Museum in the future. We meet outside the Pump Room in time for a 7 p.m. departure and promote the American Museum in the future.
