There are so many pressures on businesses of all sizes today that the matter of reputation can be easily overlooked and undercapitalised amid other seemingly more immediate needs and priorities.
Public Relations is an often misunderstood discipline, but done right it can yield significant results – often at little or no cost.
So what is the true value of embracing PR and how does it apply to your business?
This presentation will introduce some of the fundamentals of Public Relations while considering the above and other key questions. Through the incorporation of practical examples attendees will learn about how the media operates and how they can develop a sense for news that will help them seize opportunities, or to create these for themselves.
By considering the strategic and tactical elements of PR to help build, maintain and protect your businesses’ external profile the presentation will seek to offer unique insights that can be applied almost immediately.
The session will explore:
- The merits of incorporating PR into your overall business plan
- The role of PR in helping achieve your business objectives
- How the media works
- How PR helps you better market you or your business and engage with different audiences and stakeholders
- Identifying opportunities to place stories in the media
- Adding value to your client relationships though a deeper knowledge and understanding of PR
