This is a joint event with the Institute of Consulting London & SE Network and the BCS Consultants Group.
Paul has worked as a consultant for approximately 15 years and, since 2009, has been joint Chief National Assessor with the Institute of Consulting for the internationally-recognised “certified management consultant” (CMC) award. As well as carrying out CMC assessments himself, he assists the Institute with developing its processes around CMC and the accredited practices programme, in particular ensuring that they comply with the requirements of the ICMCI (the “International Council of Management Consulting Institutes”).
Paul has recently assisted the Institute with introducing a number of new routes to certification that have made CMC more accessible to applicants whilst continuing to maintain its high standards and rigour – to the extent that the UK Institute was recently recognised during a recent ICMCI audit as demonstrating exemplary practices that would also be of benefit to other Institutes worldwide. In addition to his assessor role, Paul is also a member of the Institute’s consultancy standards and qualifications committee.
As a practising consultant, Paul specialises in helping his clients to become more effective and efficient, typically through the strategic of information systems and digital technologies. He has worked mostly with not-for-profit clients during the past 10 years, but also has significant experience of the commercial sector, having formerly worked for "Strategy&" (then Booz Allen Hamilton), a leading firm of strategy consultants, where he was awarded their prestigious Professional Excellence Award whilst managing a digital transformation (e-business) programme for an oil company.
Veronika Weisweiller & Tony Lavender from the IC London & SE Network committee, both experienced trainers and mentors will talk about CPD in general and other qualifications and learning opportunities available through the Institute of Consulting.
