This two-hour session will provide you with lots of practical tips on how to improve your CV and interview presentation. During the session we will address the following questions: How can I make my CV stand out? What should a modern CV look like? How can I control my interview nerves? I don’t like ‘selling myself’. How can I portray myself positively at interview? What should I do if I don’t meet all the essential criteria for a job that I really want? Content Examples of different ways of setting out a CV in a modern format (and the pros and cons of each); The one (commonly overlooked) action candidates should take before applying, which will significantly increase their chances of success; The Interview Game: how interviewers really judge candidates, and what this means for you; Real confidence: how to develop it; how to project it.
Peter English is an independent consultant with more than 20 years experience in recruitment, assessment and personal development. He has worked on assessment centres for some of the country’s largest employers, and successfully coached candidates for a wide range of jobs. Peter is the author of three books: ‘Succeeding At Interviews’, ‘Tackling Difficult Conversations’ and ‘The Confidence Pocketbook'
