Matthew Layton, Managing Partner of Clifford Chance LLP, will deliver a lecture entitled; 'a journey of change – past, present and future – the development of the global legal market' as part of the Bristol Distinguished Address Series.
Matthew Layton became the Global Managing Partner of Clifford Chance in May 2014. Prior to that, he was the Global Head of the firm's Corporate/M&A practice from 2008.
Matthew has been with Clifford Chance since 1983 and a partner since 1991. His practice has included advising major international companies and private equity sponsors on all aspects of public and private M&A and related financing. Matthew is ranked in Private Equity International's 2013 Legal Power 30 as one of the most influential lawyers working in the private equity industry today.
Clifford Chance has over 3,400 fee-earners in 36 offices across 26 countries.
