Join us for the 19th Annual Joint CMI/IET Meeting and Dinner.
Bloodhound SSC is the combination of many years work to produce a jet and rocket powered car that has been designed to exceed 1,000 mph (just over 1,600 km/hr or the equivalent of travelling from Bath to Bristol in under ½ a minute.) The project tested the engineering and management skills of all those involved and as it comes to fruition; it stands as a testament to the vision, dedication and tenacity of the team.
It started with a public launch of the project on 28th October 2008 at the Science Museum in London. Richard Noble and other members of the team announced to the world their plan to smash the World Land Speed Record, and at the same time inspire the next generation of Engineers and Managers with an iconic project. The story is still unfolding. It will not finish until the Bloodhound SSC achieves the Land Speed Record of 1,000 mph, and the team creates a lasting legacy that will inspire future generations to better things.
