Ross McWilliam is a freelance trainer and consultant with an educational background. After several years teaching in three countries, he moved into a corporate arena as Commercial Manager of a Professional Football Club. This role, which he held for 5 years, allowed him to develop his skills of sales, networking, public speaking & communication, corporate hosting, community and club PR, youth marketing and leadership.
Ross then returned to education, as a supply teacher at over 300 primary, secondary and special schools, and at university level, following which he took up the rewarding opportunity of Head of ICT at an EBD school which he held for three years.
From here he moved to speaking and consultancy with areas of specialism of smarter confidence, self esteem and body image, meta cognition, growth mindset, study skills, emotional intelligence, and soft skills for employability - interview, presentation and elevator skills. These all come under the collective term of Winning Mindset. Ross has had articles published in the Times Educational Supplement, Mums & Dads magazine, Child’s Play and has just finished his first book CUPPA – The Confident Mindset, targeted at ages 9-11+.
Ross also delivers CPD for insetcourses.com and other educational providers on Raising Boys’ Achievement, Gifted & Talented, Coaching & Mentoring, Primary PE, Disaffected Parents and The Outstanding Lesson.
Ross’s unique approach results in an emotional and kinaesthetic learning experience with engagement activities to maximise individual learning development.
