Do you or your teams procrastinate?

Do you frequently experience stress and overwhelm from work?

Do you think that you are enslaved to email and wish you had more time for your own work priorities / goals?

The latest discoveries from neuroscience suggest that generally we work against our brain, making decisions, communication and getting tasks done a lot harder than needed.

There are few things ever dreamed of, smoked or injected that have as addictive an effect on our brains as technology” (McGonigal, 2012) and “perhaps not since Early Man first discovered how to use a tool has the human brain been affected so quickly and so dramatically” (Small and Vorgan, 2008). Neuroscience which itself relies on advances in technology to conduct research, suggests that the advantages of communication technology come at a price.

Nevertheless, neuroscience is discovering potential solutions as “human attention is a trainable capacity” (Levy et al., 2012). At this fun, interactive workshop, Rachel Bamber will share her proven Brighter Thinking tips and techniques grounded in the latest discoveries in neuroscience to enable you and your team to get things done and get ahead.

During the evening we will explore:

  • Brain basics and the importance of understanding your own personal motivation
  • Learning how to work with your brain, not against it
  • Improve efficiency and get things done faster
  • How to make work rewarding for your brain
  • Feel calm and in control
  • Increase your ability to single task focus
  • Learn how to get in control of email (so it doesn’t control you!)
  • Experience the latest CEO buzz: mindfulness to increase focus and avoid distraction

As a result, you will have the brain-based skills to be more effective at managing your time (self!), demonstrate enhanced performance and move forward faster.

Rachel Bamber ICF PCC

I’m an expert in using powerful, brain-friendly strategies to deliver peak performance. I’ve helped people all over the world to work with their brain to get what they want - faster and with less stress.

Among the pioneering adventurers who have worked with me include people in the public eye, corporate leaders, super-ambitious small business owners and members of UK Sport’s Elite Programme.

As a nominee for the GLE Rising Star Award in business and one of the first six people in the world to be awarded the Post-Graduate Certificate in the Neuroscience of Leadership, I will be the first person in the UK about to achieve the inaugural Master’s Degree.

After leading successful sales teams in consumer media (Express Newspapers plc, BBC Haymarket Exhibitions, BAFTA) I founded my own business, Brighter Thinking, in 2003.

What do I do when I’m not getting people to ‘Think Brighter’?
I walk for my “daily dose of green”, enjoy London’s cultural delights, learn Ballroom and Latin dancing, take part in BARREtoned challenges and I’m in the midst of writing my first book.
