WiM (Women in Management) is our network in CMI that aims to address the specific issues affecting women managers today and to further develop your potential and life chances. In the Thames Valley Region we meet every 2-3 months to share ideas and stories from our experience. There is no speaker, so we discuss whatever is happening now, current management and leadership research and build connections with other women managers.

Our discussion leader is Jacqui Hogan, chair of the CMI management trends network and the Thames Valley board WiM champion. Jacqui's experience includes many years managing teams of all sizes, and currently runs her own company specialising in leadership and management mentoring, training and inspiration.

This WiM event is your opportunity to raise and discuss the issues that affect you as a woman manager today, and get support from other women managers.

Topics for discussion:

  • International Womens day in March 2016. We have earmarked a small budget to enable us to put on a full or half day event next year. Do you have any ideas for location, venue or speakers? We will also need some volunteers to help make this happen.
  • Location. Several people have expressed interest in coming along to WiM networking, but can't get to Reading. I'm proposing that we alternate meetings between High Wycombe and Reading.
