2015 is an exciting year. In September, world leaders at the United Nations will meet to ratify a set of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) that will continue and extend the work defined by the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) which were agreed at the turn of the century. Seventeen goals have been proposed to the UN, which cover such subjects as poverty, hunger, education, water, energy, equality, biodiversity, climate, world peace and much more.
In this SDG Career Challenge, attendees will be asked to describe the world they’d like to see in the future and discover how this is defined by the SDGs. They will also get chance to discuss how the SDGs might inspire their studies and career choices. It will be facilitated by Clive Wilson who is an advocate for the SDGs and a member of the United Nations Association.
6.00pm (reception) for 6.45pm start.
