Project success, often defined as meeting cost, time and quality expectations, rarely matches client needs. We need to understand more fully what success is, and what organisations intend to achieve through their projects, something more than finishing on time, on budget, and to a specified quality. The benefits can only begin to be realised after the project is completed.
Based on workshops developed in conjunction with experienced consultants, and carried out with a range of organisations, this interactive event explores the client’s deeper long term expectations to ensure that success is included and understood as part of the project brief so that every aspect of the project contributes towards the client’s goal.
Attendees are asked to come prepared with their own examples of success and failure to ensure that discussions provide real examples.
Topics will include:
- The project – or assignment - brief
- Purpose and benefits
- Success criteria and success factors
- Project controls
- Stakeholder management
- The value chain
- Attendees’ examples
The objective is for every attendee to be able to take away ideas to improve the chances of success for their current and future projects.
There is a charge of £12.00 for members and £18.00 for non-members. Book your place at https://events.bcs.org/book/1656/
