In February 2015 Kogan Page published “Designing the Purposeful Organization – how to inspire business performance beyond boundaries”.  The book emphasises the need for organizations to truly understand why they do what they do from the perspectives of all key stakeholders.  From these insights they can derive their most inspiring purpose and align the efforts of everything they do to this focal point.  At this event Clive Wilson, the book’s author, will provide an overview of his thinking, including the role of purpose, vision, engagement, structure, character, results, success and talent (each of which is featured in a chapter of his book).  Participants will then have the opportunity to share their biggest challenges associated with “purposeful leadership” and work together in focus groups, to determine the most profound action they can take.

Clive Wilson is an author and a board director at Primeast Ltd, a consultancy that has been promoting purposeful leadership since 1987.  He is a facilitator and executive coach. He is also a fellow and Ambassador of CMI, a Fellow and Tutor for CIPD and chairman of the United Nations Association Harrogate Branch where he is an enthusiastic advocate for the Global Goals for Sustainable Development.  An inspiring speaker, Clive is happy to engage audiences on the subjects of purposeful leadership and sustainable development.

Attendees are encouraged to purchase “Designing the Purposeful Organization” in advance of this event from www.koganpage.com/dpo and use code DESIGNING20 to secure a 20% discount on the purchase price.  Clive will be happy to sign pre-purchased books at the event.
