Which? has come a long way from our humble beginnings in 1957 when the first Which? magazine was published from a converted garage in Bethnal Green. More than 58 years later, we are now the largest consumer body in the U.K., with over 829,000 unique customers that subscribe to our magazines and online – and this is constantly growing. Our key aim is to make individuals as powerful as the organisations they deal with in their daily lives and one of the core elements of that is our product testing.
We currently review over 3,500 products and services per year spending over £4 million annually on external research. This talk will cover how we go about our testing and how we ultimately decide which products are Best Buys. Examples will be drawn specifically from our home appliance tests with a focus on laundry, cleaning and refrigeration products.
Dr Thomas Bell manages the science team at Which? responsible for ensuring that all product tests are designed to be robust, rigorous and repeatable and advising the company on scientific queries.
Payment may be made over the telephone using a credit card.
