Negative influencing techniques such as insistence, manipulation and subconscious influencing can be corrosive within the workplace, damaging relationships and having a negative effect on self-esteem.
This 90-minute workshop introduces delegates to positive alternatives which allow you to influence senior stakeholders, work colleagues or team members to view things from your perspective and better accept your argument, proposal or suggestions using well-chosen language, non-verbal communication and by creating rapport. During this workshop you will have the opportunity to participate in practical group exercises where you will practise the art of influencing using verbal and non-verbal techniques.
The aims of this session are to:
• Define influencing, and provide an understanding of negative and positive influencing techniques
• Discover the power of words, phrases and metaphors to express your position in a positive way
• Provide a practical experience of body language awareness and techniques, and building rapport
This educational and interactive workshop is ideal for managers and leaders who wish to improve their influencing skills to deliver better results and build positive relationships in the workplace. You don’t need any previous experience – simply turn up and take part!
