Helen Williams, Cyber Prevention Officer, NW Regional Cyber Crime Unit
Helen will discuss what cyber-crime is, why it’s increasing and who is carrying it out. She’ll also cover the real-life incidents seen in North West region, and give some simple tips to keep you and your business safer online in terms of prevention and best actions to take if attacked. Helen will also be able to recommend free resources from training courses to internal education for staff.

Jason Davies, Founder and Manager of the North Wales Cyber Security Cluster
Jason will give advice on how you can build your cyber security knowledge, skills and capabilities to make you more resilient to cyber-attacks and the North Wales Region a secure place to do business. Jason will cover Cyber Security Compliance and Insurances as the best forms of risk mitigation.

Graeme Brand, Barclays Business Digital Eagle, North West and North Wales, Personal & Corporate Banking
Graeme will provide a summary of top threats to businesses, advice on how you can stay safe and highlight the support available to you. He will focus particularly on; Social Engineering, Password Hygiene, Invoice and cheque fraud, CEO Impersonation, DDos attack and will also provide examples of Spearphishing you should be aware of.

Chris will provide an input in relation to Ransomware which is currently one of the most common type of cybercrime attacks targeted at SMEs. The input will include a chronology of an attack and advice and guidance on how to both recover from an attack or negate such attacks occurring in the first place.
