Is flexible working better than a bonus?

Price Waterhouse Coopers have released the results of a survey recently saying that flexible working is the most valued thing by employees, with many rating it as preferable to a bonus.

It's a nice to have, but I'd love a bonus as well :)

Good find Laura. Flexible working has many other benefits as well. Research by consultancy Morgan Redwood in 2009 found that those with flexible working policies 'earnt' around £6,000 per year more per employee than those that didn't have such policies.
All of which makes it sound a bit of a no brainer.
I guess it comes down to Maslow right? I mean if you're living pay cheque to pay cheque then the money you earn is pretty important. If you're comfortably off though or have a family or something then flexible working will be a real value add for you.
