What's the first leadership book you'd give to a new manager?

Ok, picture the scene, you have a new manager starting on Monday and want to give them a good start with your ideas and philosophies on management and leadership.  What book do you give them and why?

Might be a bit left field but I'd rather give them a $20 book voucher each month for them to buy at least one book per month to ensure they are always learning things.

I'd give them a copy of Wolf Rinke's book "Don't Oil the Squeaky Wheel: And 19 Other Contrarian Ways to Improve Your Leadership Effectiveness".

I would hope that it would make them stop and think about why things are done the way they are done.  This will then help to turn them into a leader who isn't just swept along by conventional orthodoxy of how things should be done but rather one who can see new and better ways of achieveing desired results.

'Being the Boss' might be a good one.  There's an article about it on HBR today.
