How to Use the Community

The CMI Online Community offers you the opportunity to find answers to your questions, showcase your knowledge, network locally and discuss management issues.  This brief guide will help you to get started.

oneIntroduce yourself - imagine that you're at a networking event or a party, the first thing you want to do is introduce yourself (click here for a brief overview of how you can create a new topic).  There are two places you can do this:

twoFind your local branch - your local branch will be a great place to discover events and network with managers near you.  Find your local branch at the CMI In Your Area part of the site.

twoGet answers to your questions - the CMI Answers part of the website is the place for you to get answers to your pressing management questions.  It is run in partnership with the CMI Ask a Researcher service so you get answers from both our expert researchers + our 80,000 strong management community.

twoShowcase your knowledge - Tom Peters once described blogging as the best thing he's done professionally in the last decade.  You can share your knowledge and expertise at The Management Blog.  I've put together 10 reasons why you should blog here.

twoFind the right people - I'm the community manager at CMI so I am your first port of call for all things web.  You can email me here if you have any queries.
