The IMCA Conference was held at the Aviva Stadium, facilitated by Paul Cunningham (Editor, RTE News & Current Affairs) and included the joint presentation of the 2017 IMCA Medal to Caroline Keeling, MD Keeling Group by IMCA President Michael Markey CMC and Steven Chambers CMC FIC representing IC(NI).
Caroline Keeling gave an insightful view into the development, and diversification, of the Keeling Group which has developed from a small family fruit business to a global business incorporating not just fruit, but also food and software products.
Other speakers included:
- John McGrane, DG British-Irish Chamber of Commerce, who outlined his perspective on the challenges posed by BREXIT to the Irish economy;
- Aidan Gough, Director Strategy & Policy IntertradeIreland, who followed his presentation the previous day to CMI with an address to IMCA;
- Brendan Foster (Grant Thornton) who looked at the value of networking;
- Ger Twomey (PwC), with a focus on a report about the workforce of the future developed by PwC.
