First of all, I’d like to thank the previous Chartered Management Institute (CMI) Scotland Chair, Liz Hoskin, for the contributions she made to the vitality of the board. She is a vibrant individual and was instrumental in keeping our focus on the importance of members to the CMI mission.
Over the last two years, Liz's leadership of CMI Scotland has been characterised by innovative ideas, strategic thinking and, most valuable, her tireless efforts to increase the visibility of CMI in Scotland. The resulting recognition has become an asset to CMI Scotland in particular and CMI UK in general. The relationships Liz has fostered with our stakeholders will ensure CMI will prosper and continue to offer opportunities to advance Thought Leadership and Management across Scotland.
By all measures, CMI Scotland has improved on cementing the confidence of our members, increasing our membership, increasing the number of Chartered Managers and building a great relationship with various organisations across Scotland.
Liz's energy and devotion to the role will be difficult to match, but she leaves CMI Scotland a better organisation and on a strong footing for those who follow her.
It is our great pleasure on behalf of the CMI Scotland Board to thank her for her dedication and the great job she has accomplished in her two year term as Board Chair and wish her all the very best in her new role as a member of the Board of Trustees and we look forward to her ongoing involvement in CMI.
