Dr Greg Park FCMI
Greg has spent 35 years in banking. In the initial years he worked with National Westminster Bank and Lloyds TSB Group, primarily in the areas of marketing, product development, business development, network management, market strategy development and operational implementation.
Latterly he has held General Manager and Deputy Chief Executive positions with global and regional banks in the Arabian Gulf and broader Middle East, with responsibility for operations in Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar and Oman.
Here, he had both overall strategic business oversight (as a Member of Management Committees) and operational responsibility for such diverse functions as strategic market development, marketing & market research, product development, sales & service quality management, consumer, remote, cards, expatriate and Islamic banking. Greg holds degrees in Monetary Economics (B.Sc.), Marketing Management (MA), International Strategic Marketing (MBS) and a doctorate in International Strategic Leadership. He also holds a Diploma of the Chartered Institute of Bankers and is a FCIM.
Greg is Managing Director of PCM Consulting, which offers advice and guidance to executive teams on how to adapt to leading within the cross-border and global context. He is also part of the leadership team of Oxford Strategic Consulting (OSC), a consultancy based in Oxford, which advises corporates and institutions on key people issues in respect of effective organisational leadership and performance. In addition, Greg is a guest speaker and programme director in International Strategic Leadership at universities in Ireland and Scandinavia.
Greg's technical management experience revolves around the areas of marketing, market strategy, product development and sales & service quality management. However, his key management expertise lies in putting in place the organisational capabilities for effective market penetration, developing and clearly communicating key organisational and individual objectives, embedding appropriate hard and soft resources and coordinating the enhanced capabilities of diverse functions to enhance long term organisational performance. Increasingly Greg's attention has focused on the selection, direction and motivation of key staff in order to create an effective, energised, dedicated, low internal conflict work team.
