Ian Watson MA FCMI FIC
Ian Watson has been a business and management consultant for 15 years, following a career in industry. The consultancy he does is wide-ranging but with particular emphasis on business strategy, M&A, and new product development in manufacturing.
After his degree in Economics from Cambridge University, Ian’s initial career was as an economist in Whitehall. This was followed by 20 years as Managing Director and Chairman of metals, engineering and recycling businesses in the UK and abroad. He was also President of two manufacturing companies in France.
Ian is a Fellow of both the Institute of Consulting and the Chartered Management Institute. He has served on the IC National Council; as Chairman of the IC South East Region; and on the IC International Steering Group. He is currently a member of the IC Advisory Council and a member of the CMI Board in London and the South East, where he is the IC Ambassador.
He has a private consultancy practice and is also Chair of Operations for The Lamberhurst Corporation, a medium-sized management consultancy which is a Recognised Practice of IC and which focuses on thought leadership, strategy planning, performance improvements, BCM and BPR.
