Mairead Fernandez McCann has extensive management consultancy experience working for PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP Advisory, Capgemini Ernst & Young Transformation Consulting and the United Nations. 

Current interests

Mairead’s most recent role was working as a Change Manager on a global transformation programme at the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), the global body for professional accountants.   Mairead’s interests lie in change, project and programme management for large technology transformation programmes. 


Career History

Following her Masters in Information Technology, Mairead was recruited for the Capgemini Ernst and Young Management Consulting Graduation Programme in 2003.  Mairead specialized in Transformation Consulting and was headhunted by PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP to join their Advisory team in 2006.  Mairead worked as an Advisor in both the Project & Programme Management Advisory Practice and the People and Change Advisory Practice.  In 2010, Mairead started work for the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) as a Management Specialist, supporting the successful implementation of its partners' peacebuilding, humanitarian and development projects around the world.  Mairead then went to work for the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants in 2012 as the Change Manager.


Professional background

Mairead has a Masters in International Relations from the University of Cambridge and a Masters in Information Technology from the University of Glasgow.  She is currently studying (part time) for the LLM in Alternative Dispute Resolution at the University of Dundee Law School.


Mairead is a Certified Management Consultant, Fellow of the Institute of Leadership and Management (FInstLM), Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (MCIPD), Member of the Association of Project Management (MAPM), Member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (MCIPS) and Member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (MIET).  She is professionally qualified in transformational change, project and programme management.


Mairead is a UK Trustee on the ICMCI group.
