Martin Gooch MCMI
Martin began his career as a graduate civil engineer and he has worked in a wide variety of roles ranging from Flood defence and drainage projects, operational auditing, marketing billing services in the CCTV sector, and latterly as an IT Relationship/Programme Manager, before becoming an independent Consultant.
With over 35 years’ experience in the Water/Utility sector he has a proven, “hands on”, track record of success in working with business sponsors to deliver the benefits/outcomes of major complex programmes. These include Engineering and Contract Management digital solutions, rollout of mobile works management and GIS systems to over a 1,000 staff, and the production and management of IT Capital programmes.
Prior to consultancy, Martin was a member of the senior IT and business leadership teams providing challenge, guidance and advice. He has worked with major suppliers and consultancies including SAP, Capita, Autodesk, Bentley, Wipro, TCS, PWC and Deloitte.
Martin has presented papers on the delivery and benefits of projects and has chaired UK and international conferences. As a member of the CMI, he has joined the South East and London Association group, belongs to the CMI Subject Matter Experts Panel, and is also a member of the BIM4Water Forum.
Martin is a chartered Civil Engineer with IT (Prince, MSP) and management qualifications (DMS).
