Richard Budd MIET CMC MIC
Richard is the Operations Partner of LCP Consulting – specialists in customer driven supply-chain management – having responsibility for all back-office functions required in a management consultancy practice (administration, finance, commercial/legal, accommodation & infrastructure, recruitment and training).
Richard has worked in some form of consulting industry throughout his 40-year career, initially for consulting engineers, then manufacturing consultants and latterly management consultants, including a seven year period before joining LCP Consulting with Andersen Consulting (now Accenture). As a Chartered Electrical Engineer, Richard has had hands-on experience in a wide scope of practical projects, from detailed commissioning of new equipment, including fault-finding of computer controlled plant, to total project management. His experience has exposed him to a wide cross section of industries, including water treatment processes, continuous production industries, consumer products, many involving instrumentation and control equipment, CNC machine tool and automated material handling plant.
In consulting roles when joining LCP, Richard focused on the practical aspects of logistics consultancy, including European logistics reviews, warehouse operation reviews, preparation of ITTs for outsourcing. In more recent times, he concentrates on framework agreements for large organisations and public sector bids.
Richard has been a past member of Councils for the Institution of Electrical Engineers (now IET) and Institute of Management Consultants (now IE) and has been engaged in various training and standards initiatives run by the IE.
