Tony Kwox, SBS, IDS, JP
Mr. Tony Kwok Man Wai, SBS, IDS, JP, has worked in ICAC for 27 years. In 1996, Mr. Kwok was appointed as the first local Deputy Commissioner and Head of Operations. Since his retirement in 2002, Mr. Kwok has been invited to visit 25 countries and over 30 different provinces and cities in the Mainland to give lectures or provide anti-corruption consultancy.
Mr. Kwok was awarded the Hong Kong ICAC Medal for Distinguished Service (IDS) in 1998 and the Silver Bauhinia Star (SBS) in 2002. He was conferred with the Honorary University Fellowship by The Open University of Hong Kong in 2013 and the Honorary Fellowship by the Hong Kong University School of Professional and Continuing Education (“HKU SPACE”) in 2014 respectively. In July 2016, he was appointed as a Justice of the Peace (JP).
Since his retirement, Mr. Kwok has been invited by various universities and institutions to be the lecturer of anti-corruption courses and consultant, including Adjunct Professor of HKU SPACE, Member of the Court of Hong Kong City University, Honorary Professor of Hong Kong Financial Services Institute, Visiting Professor of National Prosecutors College of PRC, Researcher of the Anti-Corruption Research Centre of Tsinghua University, Visiting Professor of Zhongnan University of Economics and Law and Adjunct Professor of Zhejiang Wanli University etc. Mr. Kwok was also appointed as a Member of the Shenzhen Qianhai Anti-Corruption Advisory Committee and Advisor of the Zhuhai Hengqin Anti-Corruption Advisory Committee.
Mr. Kwok has studied in St Louis School, and has obtained his Diploma in Management Studies from the Hong Kong Polytechnic. He obtained has MBA from City University of Hong Kong in 1994.
