Qualifications for Further Education Teachers and Trainers
01 November 2012
In November 2012 CMI responded to a consultation by the Learning and Skills Improvement Service on its proposed new qualifications for teachers and trainers in further education.
In our response we argue for the development of management and leadership skills amongst the teaching and training community, which will allow individuals to improve their own performance, as well as that of their employer organisations. We also propose that qualifications for those at the HE/FE interface are developed at levels 5 and 7, so that LSIS qualifications can cater to future demand from this expanding group of teachers and trainers.
