Lead On 2013: The Winning Pitch
At a time when business growth is absolutely essential to pave the way for proper and sustainable economic recovery Lead On 2013 is totally focused on one of the key practical approaches to business growth i.e. successfully growing your business through winning tenders.
Building on the highly successful format of the last two years, Lead On 2013 is offering a morning of inspiration and learning, leaving the delegates free to get back to their business and apply that learning in the afternoon.
"Lead On 2013: The Winning Pitch" is being opened by our key note speaker Steve Howell, CEO of Freshwater UK who can set the scene for successful tendering – as well highlighting some of the common errors!
Date: Wednesday 17th July 2013
Time: 09.45 - 13.00 (registration from 9.15)
Venue: Cardiff City Stadium
5 breakout sessions cover nearly all aspects of successful tendering:
- Building trusted relationships with associates in order to club together for greater success
"The Art of Collaboration” (Karen Whittleworth, Worth Consulting)
- Essential skills in writing the tender
“A few well-chosen words” (James Daniel, EarthMonkey)
- The use of PowerPoint is critical, how to use it so that it helps you win your pitch

- Thinking through just how to make that pitch once you’ve been called to presentation
“Pitfalls in Presentation” (Philippa Davies)
- How to make the right impression and impact at that all important pitch
“Dress to Impress” (Julie Harvey, The Brilliant Company)
Once again we are having a full morning – exhibitions, brunch and networking follow our first set of breakout sessions and then participants attend their second break out session.
To conclude the morning we have a final session that will really on the bottom line and the financials of tenders “Turnover is vanity, profit is sanity”
