Qualification Structure

Learners must complete all 4 Mandatory units plus 4 Optional units to achieve the qualification*.

  1. Units LMC E5 and LMC E7 are an excluded combination within Group B.
  2. For those intending to work in Residential Child Care in England, it is strongly recommended that in addition to the 4 Mandatory units, Unit B6 and Unit B7 are also undertaken.
  3. For those intending to work in Children’s Care Services in England, it is strongly recommended that in addition to the 4 Mandatory units, Unit B6 is also undertaken.
