When you join CMI
Affiliate - When you first join CMI as a member, you will become an Affiliate, which is the starting point of your membership journey. Once in membership, you can upgrade depending on your qualifications and/or experience.
Annual fee £180.00 / Monthly Direct Debit £15.00
Upgrading your membership
Upgrading your membership is simple, just send your CV demonstrating the criteria below to membership@managers.org.uk. Our membership team will then review your eligibility and confirm your upgrade. There is a one off £30 upgrade fee payable once your upgrade is confirmed.
Member (MCMI) - Requires a degree level qualification or level 5 diploma (Scottish SCQF Level 8) in management or higher level qualification and 3 years management experience.
or
A minimum of 5 years' management experience if you do not hold any of the qualifications mentioned above.

Chartered Status

Chartered Member (CMgr MCMI) - Available to anyone who meets the Member (MCMI) criteria plus the successful completion of CMI’s Chartered Manager Assessment covering the application of skills and CPD.
Annual membership fee £227.00 / Monthly Direct Debit £19, plus one off assessment fee dependent on route chosen.
Chartered Fellow (CMgr FCMI) - Available to anyone who has a minimum of 10 years management experience, with at least 3 at a strategic level plus the successful completion of CMI’s Chartered Manager Assessment covering the application of skills and CPD.
Annual membership fee £260.00 / Monthly Direct Debit £22, plus one off assessment fee dependent on route chosen.
