Diary of An Intern- Day 15

The end of week 3 and I am already half way through my Internship! Can't believe it has gone so quickly but am still keeping busy so I look forward to the next three weeks and the challenges they will bring.

Talking of challenges, the Covent Garden video, which was supposed to be posted some time this week onto the youtube page, proved a little more difficult to shoot than expected! The voices of the interviewees were muffled by the blustery wind, and we didn't have enough time to speak to a full range of people so shooting will have to continue over the next couple of weeks and I will let you all know when it is up and running on the site!

Also on Wednesday this week I visited the Corby offices for a proper induction.  This started with Mike Abbot's interactive health and safety talk, which was entertaining but memorable for it! I then had half hour slots with various people in different sectors, such as Membership and Information services so I could learn more about what they do and the various teams, after which I enjoyed lunch in the canteen! It was really nice to see the other CMI offices as it made me fell more involved in the institute as a whole, getting to meet the other employees and understanding more how it all works.

I am not back in the office until next friday, (a combination of bank holiday and moving flats!) but I will update you all with goings on then,

Have a lovely bank holiday weekend.

Sounds good Agatha. In a way the Covent Garden experience was also good in that you saw that nothing is ever straightfoward. Best wishes.
