National winners invited to training awards in London

Regional winners at the National Training Awards north-west heats have been invited to attend the UK Gala Ceremony at London's Royal Horticultural Halls on Thursday December 10th.

Organised by the on behalf of the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills by UK Skills, the National Training Awards honour companies which have made an outstanding contribution to workplace training skills and leadership development.

Winners of the regional competition, which was held at the Manchester Palace Hotel, include Tony Norbury from Chester, Cumbria Constabulary, Bolton Lads and Girls Club, and the Bank of New York Mellon.

Congratulating all winners, Ranvir Singh said: "This year's recipients in the north-west have set the benchmark high.

"Each and every one of them has proven that in today's current climate, high-quality training is an integral part of both personal and business development."

Last year, sports star Colin Jackson was the celebrity host of the National Training Awards.
