This morning I was reading an article in the Economist about the innovation culture created in Israel, with a particular nod given to a new book by Dan Senor called Start-Up Nation: The Story of Israel's Economic Miracle. Anyway, Ray Cohen, friend of The Management Blog, pointed me in the direction of a video by Mr Senor on CNBC so I thought I'd share it with you all. Let me know what you think in the comments section.

Adi,
Interesting, business innovation leader. Not the first Country I would have guessed at. That said, if we agree that Defence is also Business (technology and the like) then you may be interested in the following article.
Jane's International defence review - July 2010. "Israeli firm reveals vehicle invisiability cloak". Black Fox Active Adaptive IR Steath System can mirror outside temperatures on vehicles thus being invisiable to IR and many other night vision equipment. Where will it lead?

Hi Adi - Thanks for sharing this. Very interesting and thought provoking - need time to ponder this, perhaps a book purchase coming on!

I think Israel have done quite a lot to encourage innovation, as I believe their venture capital industry is pretty advanced.
