United Airlines broke my guitar take 2

Musician Dave Carroll caused something of an Internet sensation last month with his United Airlines Broke My Guitar song.  Well he's back for a second helping.  The first video caused such damage to United's reputation that it motivated an instant response from the airline.

We understand the power of social media and the implications it has on our reputation, and realize it has a role in our communicating to our guests and the public at large. We also put the highest priority on making things right directly with our customer in the most helpful, meaningful and immediate manner, and most often that means picking up the phone and calling them, rather than using social media to talk to everyone about one person’s personal travel experience. So, like most things, it’s a combination of ways to connect to our guests.

I'm not sure this new video teaches us much new and does smack a little of opportunism by Mr Carroll in extending his 15 seconds of fame a little longer.  Have a look and see what you think.

Hmm, he's made his point, he's changed the way United Airlines act, time for him to move on now. He's had his time.

Yes Andrea-it's getting boring now....

interesting how quikcly someone falls from pedestal - i agree the milking of it almost puts United back in the sympathy list and and makes me wonder abotu the motives of the first song too.

He's obviously got a few more guitars available to him (I spotted 2 different ones in this video)!

I don't know how productive communicating via social media and music will be if you're genuinelyengaging with the organisation trying to find a solution.
