Do you blog?

The CMI blog has been going now for nearly 6 months and in that time it's had some highs and it's had some lows.  It's not my first blog but it's also had the ability to teach me an awful lot about the benefits blogging can bring both to my professional and personal life.  So I thought it would be nice to share with you this discussion between Tom Peters and Seth Godin on the subject of blogging.

Do you blog? Think about how it could help you, and if you'd like to do some blogging here on The Management Blog get in touch.

Woops - better do some more blogging!

Interesting chat between 2 'gurus'- for 'older' people they certainly do keep up with the trends! I get Seth's daily blog - its so easy to read and, although not every subject hits the spot, its very inspirational. I'd better look out for Tom Peters blogs now ....

Margaret - I agree! Not sure about the "older people" stereotype - I'm in that bracket myself and though it doesn't come as easily as it does to the generation "y"ers I have started to blog and read others!!
What I DEFINITELY notice is that what Seth says is true. By joining in the conversations, by reading others' blogs, and by articulating my own thoughts, I learn and grow, and get more able to market what I do because I become clearer about my subject.
Better get blogging a bit more!!

I find blogging helps me to relax and level out my thinking; it also has business benefits and can help put new perspectives and thinking on both problems and opportunities.

I had rather pooh poohed this before but I agree with the comments above. I have got a lot out of blogging particularly how to try and convey thoughts as succintly as possible.

I seen this video this morning, with three others on Seth Godin's Weblog, good advice and a little motivation to keep your focused on tomorrow.

I don't really blog, largely because I don't think I have enough of interest to say. Commenting on the odd bit here and there (like this) is one thing but compiling three or four paragraphs every day is quite another.

I don't blog every day and I'm more inclined to comment on other peoples articles than write my own from scratch although I have done a few.

I used to be a bit of a blog voyeur - looking at them but thinking there isn't much to add. Now I often add a comment and answer questions on several sites in the hope that my comments will either stir people into commenting back (where I have been deliberately controversial to try to draw out some issues) or be helpful to others.

Unfortunately there isn't much feedback on what people think of your comments - you can rate the article but not the comments. maybe I'm wasting mine and everybody else's time!!
