Lead On 2010

Lead on 2010 (Strictly Business) took place at Hilton Cardiff on 25th March. A collaborative venture between the professional membership bodies of CMI, CIM, ILM, CIPD, IOD Wales and LMW they day had great feedback from participants.

The Deputy First Minister opened the day, spoke right on message, and also took questions from the floor which delegates appreciated.

5 workshops covered different areas and Dr Paul Thomas (BBC Wales Cymru's Business Doctor) led the CMI sponsored workshop "Challenging the Status Quo". Paul encourages all delegates to consider why do we have to do what we've always done i.e. depend on detailed and hierarchical management structures and responsibilities. He argues for shared responsibility, contribution and influence leads to a more engaged and productive workforce.

John Lewis Cardiff concluded the day with their "Results through People" presentation. As a vital contribution to the retail sector in South Wales their presentation was well received and gave a great end to the day.

Throughout the day our exhibitors created the Market Place - engaging the attendees in conversations about their very different management and leadership development offerings.
