A Woman's Place? details the findings of the third survey carried out by the Chartered Management Institute into the progress of women managers over the past decade, and paints a portrait of their current position in today's workforce.

The research objectives were to:

  • track the development and progress of women managers since the early 1990s
  • assess the place of women managers in the workplace at the turn of the new millennium
  • examine the extent of career barriers that were encountered
  • chart the way forward: looking at where women are setting their new horizons for success.
