TL1/STL1 Organise and develop yourself
Learning outcomes
You will be assessed on your knowledge and understanding of how to:
- Plan and organise your own work for a given period e.g. day/week/month, based on clear, measurable, realistic and result-oriented objectives.
- Describe how you would anticipate things that might go wrong; monitor your work plan, make timely decisions to overcome any difficulties within this plan and review/adjust your plan so that the results are achieved. NB Planning and allocating work to your team is covered in Unit TL3
- Produce a personal development plan based on feedback from others (team members, colleagues and line manager); use the plan to help you manage your own development and review it to make sure that the objectives have been achieved.

TL3/STL3 Organise and improve your team's work
Learning outcomes
You will be assessed on your knowledge and understanding of how to:
- Plan and allocate a specific task (or set of tasks) to your team (taking account of your organisation’s procedures, standards and any legal requirements), identify any potential issues with carrying out your manager’s instructions and communicate the plan to your team.
- Check the work of your team members on the task(s) described in (1) above to ensure it meets the requirements (organisational and legal); identify any issues when the work is not in line with these requirements and choose a course of action.
- Assess the work of your team on the task(s) described in (1) above, liaise with your manager, give effective balanced feedback to your team members, recommend and agree possible methods of improving their work.

Learning outcomes
You will be assessed on your knowledge and understanding of how to:
- Plan and obtain (in conjunction with your manager) the resources needed by your team for a specific task (or set of tasks), ensuring requirements are met.
