"I am honoured to have been awarded a doctorate by the academic staff of the University of Huddersfield in recognition of the work I have done in campaigning to have women represented in the boardroom of companies and organisations here in the UK and internationally."

The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Huddersfield Professor Bob Cryan said

"Ann Francke is an inspirational woman who makes a powerful case for the benefits of better leadership and management. I am very proud of the University’s partnership with Ann and the CMI in seeking chartered status for all our managers. I was delighted that she accepted a Honorary Doctorate and when she spoke to an audience of new business graduates she had some very wise words to say about issues such as diversity and made the point that great management and leadership can be learned, but it must be practised every day."
