Leadership Trust to offer access to CMI's premier Chartered Manager status

Agreement will provide managers access to top professional accolade

The Leadership Trust and CMI (the Chartered Management Institute) are pleased to announce a new partnership which will give The Leadership Trust’s delegates and alumni the opportunity to attain Chartered Manager status, the professional standard for managers and leaders.

The agreement was signed by The Leadership Trust’s Chief Executive Rob Noble and CMI Chief Executive Ann Francke, which was announced this morning (Thursday 4 September) at an event hosted by The Leadership Trust at its Penyard House headquarters near Ross-on-Wye. The ability for delegates and alumni to apply for Chartered Manager will complement The Leadership Trust’s existing range of leadership courses, and reflects demand from learners and employers for recognition of the professional competence and workplace impact of high-calibre managers.

It follows research which has shown that Chartered Managers add as much as £362,000 of value to their employers by delivering performance improvements, significant savings, or by implementing product and service innovation. Some 93% of Chartered Managers report increased self awareness as a result of achieving Chartered status, with 86% reporting increased self confidence in their roles – key traits for delivering effective 21st century leadership.

Rob Noble said: “I am delighted that The Leadership Trust and CMI are working together to offer access to Chartered Manager status. This provides a unique recognition of a manager’s impact at work and it complements our programmes perfectly. We look forward to offering it to learners and our network of 45,000 alumni from this autumn.”
