Women in Business NI and the Chartered Management Institute / Women in Management are joining forces for the 2nd year running to offer delegates the opportunity to hear from an inspirational guest speaker and highly successful, local business women including:

Helen McKenna, Business & Social Enterprise Trainer at Helen McKenna Training
Jayne Gallagher, Managing Director of Legal Island

Mary Keightley will be keynote speaker and will talk around the theme, 'Mental Toughness for Women', with the aim of developing  skills to accelerate women executives and emerging women leaders into senior positions. 

Delegates will:

Mary Keightley, Managing Director of Mind Associates

Mary is founder and director of Mind Associates Ltd-a UK training company that provides business training and performance coaching both online and face to face in the areas of personal leadership, emotional, social and gender intelligence, communication, attitude and mental toughness.

She designs and leads transformational change interventions, which help people to change their assumptions and attitudes to improve performance in both the private and public sector in the UK and Europe.

The principal focus for Mary is to motivate people to action. She is regarded as a motivational and inspiring conference speaker on female leadership and gender intelligence. Her style is challenging and entertaining.

Helen McKenna, Business & Social Enterprise Trainer at Helen McKenna Training

Helen is a business and social enterprise trainer and teaching resource developer. Her clients include, academic institutions, Government bodies, third sector organisations and the private sector.

It was in her role as a trainer that Helen recognised the opportunity to create teaching resources. Since 2001, she has developed bespoke learning manuals, primers and online teaching resources for academic institutions and training organisations, e.g. Ulster University and Enterprise Northern Ireland.

Helen’s passion is to make it easier for others to learn about business, management and social enterprise and provide them the knowledge and tools to help them achieve success.

Jayne Gallagher, Managing Director of Legal Island

A graduate of the University of Edinburgh with a Masters Degree in Business Studies, Jayne is also a Chartered Marketer having completed the Professional Postgraduate Degree in Marketing (Chartered Institute of Marketing).

Jayne returned to Northern Ireland in 2008 to take on the position of Event Manager for the Republic of Ireland for Legal-Island, a leading organiser of HR and employment law courses and training in both Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland helping organisations to understand and apply important developments in the law. Within 1 year Jayne was then promoted to Events Director of the company overseeing all event management in Northern Ireland and the Republic Ireland as well as staff management.

With Jayne’s promotion, the company continued to grow leading to Jayne taking on further staff management and business development responsibilities. In just one further year Jayne was then promoted again to her existing role of Managing Director. Jayne has led the company to the successful accreditation of Investors in People Bronze and Gold, Mark of Excellence (EFQM), ISO 9001 and the Gold Star Customer Service Award (EFQM).
