The role of the internet will be explored in relation to expectations of organisations and how they communicate with their customers. A series of organisational ethical disasters will be explored and how this impacts on their reputation will be discussed. Finally, the general reduction of consumer trust in business will be considered. The presentation will analyse the growing trend in ethical responses taken by organisations and the impact this has on consumers. The role of the internet will be explored in relation to expectations of organisations and how they communicate with their customers. Finally, the general reduction of consumer trust in business will be considered.

Speaker:  Dr Chris Doran. Senior Lecturer in Human Resource Management and Business Ethics and Sustainability.  He is an expert in Business Ethics on Organisational Development & Performance and Corporate Responsibility & Sustainability of Businesses. He is also Undergraduate Director for Law & People Management at Salford Business School.
